The role
The Agent Identity Directory is the source of truth for the cohort. When an agent acts, the answer to 'who is this and who vouches for it' comes from systems you own.
You will work in a stateful, high-read, correctness-critical service where a stale answer is a security incident.
What you will do
Own core services in the directory: registration, sponsorship, and scope assignment.
Keep read latency low and consistency guarantees explicit under production load.
Instrument everything so every state change is attributable.
Publish the failure modes of your services and the tests that catch them.
What we look for
Strong backend experience — distributed systems, data modeling, and API design in a typed language.
You care about correctness and observability as much as features.
You have operated services where downtime or a wrong answer is not acceptable.
